Meredith College seeks qualified candidates for a Tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Biological Sciences.

Responsibilities of the position are teaching courses within the Department, including Vertebrate physiology, histology, and human anatomy and physiology.  There will also be an opportunity to mentor introductory undergraduate research students. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level is a primary factor in the selection process.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with an educational and teaching background in one or more of the following: human anatomy and physiology, histology, vertebrate physiology, and introductory general biology

Additional consideration is given to candidates who hold 9 – 12 teacher licensure in North Carolina or a reciprocating state, or candidates with demonstrated experience in pre-health careers advising.
