MBA Admissions Coordinator

The MBA Admissions Coordinator will act/ serve as external liaison for MBA related partnerships that relate to recruitment, admissions and community service impact. Creating and maintaining external partnerships with key stakeholder groups and organizations.  The incumbent will be dedicated to support for the MBA program.  It will be expected that the applicant is self-motivated and goal-driven, using a proactive approach to carrying out the duties.

- In consultation with the Associate Director, coordinates recruitment efforts and related activities, creating a strategy for the domestic markets with approval from the Dean and/or Department Head.
- Encourage and support applications in the MBA program for the domestic market.  
- Recruit graduate students with an in-depth understanding of the market in the region in all markets served by the program.
- Advise prospects on the admissions process. In consultation with the MBA Associate Director, provides support to applicants through enrollment.
- Manages external relationships with partner organizations, which may include organizing co-curricular programming.
- Serves as a liaison between MBA and external partners to help establish potential collaborative and service-learning opportunities.
- Facilitate, offer and execute recruitment events and informational sessions for prospective students.  
- Research opportunities to enhance the applicant pool for the MBA and foundations pipeline.
- Provide support to networking, alumni events, career fairs, education fairs, corporations, classrooms experiences, and other type activities for prospective students.  
- Obtain and administer mailing lists, GMAT/GRE lists, and other opportunities for reaching potential students in the domestic markets.  
- Communicate, coordinate, and review prospects in the entire recruitment process for the domestic market.  
- Gather and track data related to recruitment for surveys with ensuring key knowledge of national, regional, and local data.  
- Recommend and provide impact measures for promotional events, items, and PR campaigns at least annually for the domestic markets.   
- Provide support to social media, PR activities, website, and related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities: 
Individual must demonstrate exceptional communication skills of a professional nature; individual must be goal-oriented and possess the ability to plan, organize, and implement with a record of successful results is required; demonstrated professional interpersonal skills are required; the individual must also demonstrate the ability to be consistent, methodical, and persevere.

In addition, the individual must have computer software skills that go beyond typical office applications.  Examples include the ability to generate mass emails and manage large databases; experience with admissions software programs is highly desired.

Education: 
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.  Candidates with degree preparation in a field closely related to business are desired.

Experience: 
A minimum of two years professional experience is required; the experience must consist of responsibilities for recruiting, admissions, sales/promotions, or a related activity.  

Other Characteristics: 
Valid NC driver’s license required; ability to carry, transport and set up marketing and promotional items (not exceeding 20 pounds).  Frequent local/regional travel may be required.  Frequent evening and weekend work required.
