Meredith College seeks a qualified candidate for a non-tenure track Instructor or Assistant Professor position in the Department of Biological Sciences. The position will begin August 1, 2021.

Responsibilities of the position are teaching 24 contact hours of lecture and laboratory courses (based upon disciplinary expertise) over two semesters.  Preference will be given to individuals who have experience teaching Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Introductory Biology. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level is a primary factor in the selection process. Teaching may be in face-to-face or online modalities, as to be determined in consultation with the department head, however the faculty must live in North Carolina.

Applicants must have a Master of Science (Ph.D. preferred) in the biological sciences discipline with a strong academic background in cellular biology, biochemistry, or related fields.
